I’ve worked as a digital and radio reporter for Minnesota Public Radio News since January 2012. In addition to daily reporting on everything from crime to baby zoo animals, I’ve done sustained reporting about the state’s opioid overdose epidemic and co-hosted a podcast called 74 Seconds that followed the trial of the officer charged with killing Philando Castile.
I’ve also been a reporter and editor for the non-profit Minnesota Independent, editor of Southwest Minneapolis Patch, legislative correspondent for American Consolidated Media newspapers in northeast Minnesota and a projects reporter for the Minnesota Daily.
I’m a former board member of the Minnesota chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and a member of Investigative Reporters and Editors.
